Summary
An exciting opportunity for a Protection Testing Engineer to join the Global Australian Company
Duties and responsibilities
Liaising with the Commissioning manager and project engineers to produce and develop commissioning plans and provide technical support of testing and commissioning circuits.
Liaising with the Commissioning manager and project engineers to produce and develop protection Inspection test plans and provide technical support of protection testing and commissioning circuits.
Conversant of protection schemes and ability to interpret all technical drawings.
Conversant in all protection relay configuration/software proficiency/testing procedures of the power industry manufacture relays in the market.
Commissioning, testing, and maintaining HV Protections systems / schemes, and IEC61850 / GOOSE communications.
Commissioning, testing and maintaining HV Substations secondary systems.
Provide leadership, technical support and training to Junior Engineer.
Competent in preparation of commissioning/testing documentation, protection test plans and create detailed technical reports on completion of works and update drawings to as built status.
Experience using Omicron / Dobel test equipment and software’s.
Plan and carry out electrical testing and commissioning work in a safe manner, always adhering to health and safety procedures.
Manage the interface between stakeholders and other contractors
Project a professional image to clients and colleagues
Contribute to the future success of projects and its clients
How to Apply
Experience skills and Qualifications
Must hold Electrical Engineering Degree / Diploma in Electrical or equivalent
Working knowledge of appropriate Indian and International Standards and Codes of Practice relevant to the HV Industry.
Minimum 1 year of testing experience
Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
Proven ability meeting project quality, schedule and budget requirements.
Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism & communication
