Assistant Testing Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Testing Engineer to join our growing team in India. This role is ideal for fresh graduates who have relevant experience or academic background in electrical systems, and are eager to start their career in Testing and Commissioning of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical systems, particularly in the Transmission Substation sector.

As part of our team, you will gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art testing equipment such as Omicron, Doble, and Megger while supporting the execution of testing and commissioning services for substations (33kV, 110kV, 220kV, 400kV).

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the Testing & Commissioning of Transmission Substations (33kV, 110kV, 220kV, & 400kV).

• Support the use of testing equipments to ensure operational efficiency during testing and commissioning.

• Assist in technical site coordination and supervision to ensure all work complies with project specifications and safety standards.

• Support the assessment of electrical systems, design elements, and load schedules for new and existing substation facilities.

• Collaborate with senior engineers and utility companies to ensure that customer power requirements and specifications are met.

• Attend meetings with clients and stakeholders to discuss project updates and technical challenges.

• Assist in preparing progress reports and project documentation.

• Ensure timely availability of materials and equipment at the site before the commencement of work.

• Assist in ensuring compliance with Indian utility standards and industry best practices.

Key Requirements

• Fresh Graduate in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with some relevant academic or field experience in electrical systems.

• Understanding of electrical systems, including high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) infrastructure.

• Basic knowledge of testing equipment's is an advantage.

• A proactive and willing attitude towards learning and hands-on training.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team.

• Familiarity with Indian utility standards and electrical safety regulations is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/Diplomo in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

• Some practical or academic experience in the Testing & Commissioning of electrical systems is preferred, but not mandatory.
